A brainchild of the Island Yacht Design, this Tropical Mountain Paradise resembles what would happen if you put together everything that happens on Gilligan’s Island on one big ship. What’s surprising is that it even has an active volcano just like Gilligan’s Island, with lava flowing out into the lagoon, but the use is more creative.

That’s right, the ship does have a huge artificial volcano, which is perhaps the most extravagant as it gets. And I loathed those rock climbing walls on the carnival cruise…silly me!

There aren’t many islands left with real active volcanoes on them, says Tej Kohli. For now this ship is only a concept, but who know this is where they might shoot the next season of Survivor, with the winning tribe staying in the posh huts.

I wonder if the designers of this ship expects private buyers for their creation. “I frankly don’t know anyone who can afford to buy something like this,” quips Tej Kohli. May be we will have to wait to see this one becoming a reality, and it might take a long time.

As the Brazil is pulling up its socks for the 2014 world cup, security is one of the prime concerns for the Brazilian police department. Tej Kohli reports that the security is going to be really tight and this time the police will be using a smart gadget to protect the viewers from any sort danger – a pair of sunglasses.

As per the plan, the Brazil police will don the camera-fitted sunglasses that are capable of scanning the faces of 400 known criminals per second from as far as 12 miles(they are usually optimized for approx. 150 feet). The sunglasses will be connected (wirelessly) to a database that can compare faces with the profiles of 13 million other people, and can check for about 46000 point on the face to find out the exact match.

Apart from scanning the faces of criminals, these sunglasses are also equipped with a screen where officers can get instructions as to what to do next. Its actually works like a robocop.

On the first glance this gadget looks like a sturdy, nice looking device with a lustrous steel body and glossy black sides. The round speaker in the side and silver knobs for on/off/volume and store/search lends it a somewhat retro appeal.

When you turn it on, the digital display showing radio stations glows bright green, while the on light when you are toasting the bread is a blue. 

Not just the radio, but the toaster itself works well and is well constructed. With two adjustable toaster slots, you can easily toast muffins and crumpets, along with an average slice of bread.
